Application/Operation

The Bottle Filling Proportioner - 675 is designed to operate only during the bottle filling cycle. The reservoir tank is connected to the facility water source; this 30-gallon water reservoir helps assure that there will be an adequate supply of water to the Proportioner. When the “Fill/Start” button is pushed, the booster pump pumps water from the tank through the proportioner at a constant rate, and if selected, the Injection pump injects the chemical additive into the water stream at the preset flowrate to provide the desired mixture level. The flow of water is automatically stopped when the programmed fill time expires.
If the BFP - 675 sits idle for more than 5 minutes or if the user changes the selection of plain or treated water, the controller will prompt for a purge cycle. Without a case of bottles in place, the “Purge” button should be pressed; the unit will begin pumping the appropriate water mixture and will begin flowing out the fill nozzles, flushing the system piping. This purge cycle ensures consistent water quality when the bottle filling process begins.
The controller will produce alarms if the reservoir tank gets too low or if the solution tank needs to be refilled. When the BFP - 675 is used for acidification, an optional pH monitor can be added. The output values from the pH meter are shown in the LCD display of the controller. The user can program in the acceptable pH range, and the controller will alarm if the treated water is outside this range.
The BFP - 675 must be connected to a 115VAC power supply, the reservoir tank must be connected to the customer's water source, and the drain on the fill table must be plumbed to a drain line. All plumbing on the BFP - 675 is PVC, polyethylene, or stainless steel and is compatible with either pure water or potable house water supplies. A filter and shutoff valve are provided for installation on the supply water line.
The reservoir tank, pump, and control panel are mounted on a stainless steel platform. Float switches in the reservoir tank control the flow of water into the tank. The 35-gallon solution tank and injection pump can be located on either side of the platform.
